My holidays (by Pablo Gómez-Reino).

MY HOLIDAYS

- When I was younger my family and I used to spend our summer holidays in Galicia. We used to go every year because we have family and friends there. There are a lot of beautiful beaches and places of culture interest to visit. The weather wasn't very good but didn't mather. I enjoyed beeing with my family and friends.

- Last year I visited my cousin in London. It was my first visit to London and we went to see the Big Ben, Buckinham Palace, Oxford street, some impotant museums and lots of beautiful parks. We went shopping and sometimes went to the cinema. It rained every day and we coudn't do outdoor activities.

- This year my family and I are going to New York for 15 days. I'm looking forward to seeing skycrapers, visiting Times Square, going to a beisbol match and bying lots of clothes. It is going to be very aexceiting and I will remember my visit to New York for a long time.

MY HOLIDAYS

Next christmas holidays my family and I are going to visit Thailand and my best friend and her family are going with us! First we're flying from Mallorca to Barcelona, then from there to Singapore and finally to Phuket. We are planning to do the typical activities like, riding on an elephant, going to the beach,... We are also very excited for the food there because it is very tropical and different from the food we havw here.

Last year in Summer, my mother, my aunt, my cousin and me visited Italy for one week. We made a tour, which started in Rome and ended in the south of Italy, Napoli. It was so beautiful there... we saw a lot of sights that everybody must have seen, like in Pompeii we saw the ruins after the disaster of the volcano eruption, it was totally amazing! But it was very hot in Italy, we all got a suntan. The best was the Italian food , we ate pizza, pasta and gnocchi, it was just delicious!

When I was a child, for christmas we used to visit, with all my family, Tenerife. In Tenerife lives my great grandmother. We used to have a lot of fun! And in winter the temperature was warm. There are also beautiful black sand beaches because of the vulkan eruptions from the Teide. We used to get a suntan there because the sun is very strong there. But I used to enjoy it a lot celebrating christmas with all my family.

Short story ( by Marina Moreno)

There was a girl  called Ana, she loved dancing, but there was a problem, she was missing a leg. At first she couldn't dance  like people with two legs, but she didn't give up and in the end she improved her dancing skills and she was so good that she could compete in other countries. She made her  dream come true.

Some Nights (Marc Villoslada)

The air was warm

I could feel the stars above me
I could hear the waves breaking

The night was silent

I could see the burning fire
I could smell your perfume

The night was really magic

I could taste your lips

MY HOLIDAYS (Matilda martinez 4eso A)

When I was little I used to go to Switzerland on Summer.
I guess nothing has changed, because I still go there every year.
Sometimes I used to go with my family and sometimes all by myself!
I remeber when I was 8, I wanted to fly alone and I did it.
I went to my grandparents house and had an awesome time.

Last summer I went again to Switwerland and meet up with
my family and friends. I also did a lot of little trips around there
and around Mallorca too. I tried a lot of aquatic sports too!

This summer I want to challenge myself. I want to do all the things I always wanted to do, like for example: Writing a novel, learning
new songs on the guitar, visit more places in Mallorca, try more sports and meet new people! I'm also going to Switzerland.

HIROSHIGE (Pep Alcover 4A)

Hiroshige was a draftsman, printmaker and painter, with a prolific work developed between 1818 and 1858, stage in which created more than 5400 engravings. It was distinguished by series of prints on Mount Fuji and Edo (now Tokyo), drawing masterfully landscapes and atmosphere of the city, capturing moments of everyday life in the Japanese capital before its transformation during the Meiji period (1868-1912).

Hiroshige was a humble interpreter of nature, but above all was a true genius when expressed with the help of the limited means of engraving on wood, raising the delicate transparency of the atmosphere to the rhythm of the seasons, in landscapes where being human is always present.

His work influenced many European artists, creating a style called Japanism, which had a decisive influence on movements such as impressionism and modernism.
