Octavio Ocampo (by Jesus Navarro)

Octavio Ocampo was born on the 28th of February in 1943 in Mexico. He is a Mexican surrealist painter. He grew up in a family of designers, and he studied art from an early childhood.
Ocampo is known for several works in his sometimes wryly sardonic, sometimes evocative paintings in which detailed images are intricately woven together to create large images.

I have chosen this image because I really like it.

Hummus (by Pablo Gómez-Reino)

Ingredients:
1/4 kg. chickpeas,
1 piece of Kombu seaweed,
1 or 2 cloves garlic,
2 tables tablespoons of Tahin,
the juice of one lemon,
parsley, olive oil and salt.

- Boil the chickpeas in the pressure cooker with the piece of Kombu seaweed and salt. Once cooked allowed them  to cool.

- To make the hummus blend the chickpeas  with the other ingredients.

- If the hummus is too thick, you can add a little bit of the cooking water. Serve cold with olive oil on top and a bit of paprika.

The giant (by Pablo Gómez-Reino)

Pedro and his mother lived on a farm, next to the forest. One morning, Pedro went to the woods and found a  giant  caught in a power plant. Pedro helped him out of that place and from that moment they became close friends. After this, Pedro taught the giant how to speak and to know the difference between  right and wrong. The people of the city believed the giant was bad and  they wanted to kill him. One day the armed forces launched a nuclear bomb to kill him, knowing that the people in the city could die. Although everybody was against the giant, he decided to save the people.

5 senses poem (by Pablo Gómez-Reino).

I smell the sour sweat of the players
I hear the fans cheering my name
I taste the food with my team after the game
I feel confident that I will play good
I see the ball coming to me
I know my team will win.

My holidays (by Noé Vela)

This summer we're going to Galicia. We're flying to Madrid airport and then hiring a car there. I think ir will be really hot, I'm planning to go to the pool and the beach every day, and I'm going to try surfing too. Hopefully there will also be kids because I like to meet new people of my age.

Last year we went to Germany to visit our family. We had a very good time with them, we went every day to the sea and some days we went  sailing with my grandad's boat. We often went dinner to a very good restaurant. I love being with my family.

When I was little we used to go to  Portals beach every day. There where a lot of kids and I had a very good time with them. We used to go to a beach bar to eat and drink something. I played a lot with the sand and it was very funny. The weather was nice and it was very hot.

MY HOLIDAYS (Lucía Vizoso 4A)

Since I was a baby my family and me used to go to la Colonia de sant Jordi in summer. We used to rent a house there and spent all the month of August. I love going there to get away from my routine and I see a lot of friends that I can’t see the rest of the year because they don’t live here. I also  love all the coastline, the beaches, the sea and the relaxed atmosphere of the village.

This summer I’m going to go two or three weeks to Galicia in July. I used to go to Galicia in winter but this year I’m going to go in summer. I’m going to go to my aunt’s house, which is in a very little village in front of the beach. I love going there because is very different from Mallorca, the beaches are huge and there are not  so many people.

Then in August I’m going to go to la Colonia de sant Jordi and I’m going to spend time with my friends, to break away, to relax and to visit new places in Mallorca. I’m planning  to improve my way of drawing too, I also want to read, to do the things I really love, to spend time with my friends and family… Finally I Think I need to have a rest because next year will be very hard…
